Panthers Basketball Club are offering FREE strength and conditioning session to all members between now and Christmas. The sessions will be delivered by Nick Ruta, who plays for Panthers Senior Men.
What qualifications do you have?:
I have an Adavanced Diploma in Personal Training along with qualifications in TRX and Kettlebells.

Trap Bar Deadlift – best way to increase vertical leap.
What is your greatest achievement as basketball player:
Being a part of the Panthers back to back Chairman’s cup winning team 2012 and 2013.
What is your greatest achievement as a Personal Trainer:
Seeing the improvement in all of my past clients fitness.
Why is strength and conditioning important for basketball?:
Strength and conditioning is important in all sports and there’s a reason why all elite athletes have it included in their routine. However basketball is an explosive sport and requires a combination of speed, power and agility. This can all be enhanced by doing specific exercises that will give you an advantage over those you play against regardless of the level. Plus the added bonus is it’s good for your health and your mind. Those who exercise are likely to have more success in all aspects of their life.
